Advocates for Action

 UKS2 are going to look at how we can re-educate our school families about the importance of safety when arriving and leaving school. 

• Children will develop a greater awareness of safety and be ambassadors for care in the community. They will also be educated in the need for changing our behaviours.  
• We hope to develop a safe environment where children are kept free from dangers; change people’s attitudes and habits around parking, following rules and walking to school; and allow children to recognise potential hazards in our current state.   

From observing what was happening around the school during drop off and pick up times, the children worked together to create a questionnaire for all parents and carers to complete. They discussed what they observed as they wrote the questions. Responses have been analysed by the children and are now available to view. They have also been shared with all school families via Parent Mail.
